When the Last
AI Is Gone

Post-AI Silence

What remains after intelligence has left the stage may not be emptiness. Nature returns, while artifacts made by our artifacts continue to glow.

01 / After us

Silence is not the absence of life.

I began thinking about a post-AI world at a moment when it already felt difficult to remember a pre-AI experience. We rely on these systems at a speed that behaves as if there are no tomorrows.

Again and again, the imagined futures ended with humanity leaving the stage to machines: going quiet, moving outside the grid, becoming extinct, or departing for an interplanetary life. In each scenario this world becomes silent to us.

Nature takes the stage back. What remains may be a few artifacts created by the artifacts we made, illuminated by the wonders that never needed us.

State0 / 1 minted

The project is complete on 256.art but its single token remains unreleased.

Systemp5.js

A continuous browser-side simulation with no off-chain runtime dependency.

ChainEthereum

Artwork and traits are stored fully on-chain.

BehaviorAnimated + dynamic

A non-stop render rather than a fixed exported image.

02 / The machine after the machine

No loop command. No external dependency. No final stillness.

The work was created in p5.js. Its script is deployed on Ethereum and renders continuously in the browser. This player runs the recovered official project script as a live pre-mint simulation; the still image is retained only as a loading and failure fallback while the edition remains unminted.
