Cultural memory is not a closed chapter.
I spoke about cultural memory as a cumulative process rather than an isolated fact from the past. Karahantepe and the wider Taş Tepeler landscape can widen our chronological horizon, show how expression survives across millennia, and create new questions about how people lived and made meaning together.
From KADD’s position, I described access as more than seeing an archaeological site. Visits, public learning, research infrastructure, laboratories and digital documentation can bring people into a living relationship with cultural heritage while supporting the researchers and conservation work that make that relationship possible.
